2021, started under a umbrella of Covid-19, masks, social distancing, no public gathering. Personally I was very ill with Covid, but was able to receive on 1/4/2021, an IV infusion of Mono Clonal Antibiotics a miracle drug, as I started feeling better immediately. Luckily at the end of the year (2021) I am still standing and working my 47th year as a nurse/Nurse practitioner. I am at St. Joe’s hospital, caring for babies, in NICU, L&D and newborn nursery. I am still loving it. With some sadness I am planning to retire by next Oct.

Gains: Great nephew Tyler Hunt (my 32nd) was born in Rexburg, Idaho, and than his family moved to Benson, so I have enjoyed seeing them more.

Losses: In July my oldest niece Mysilvia passed away unexpectedly, leaving a big hole in our heart, also I lost a 1st cousin Lewis Kear.

Service: I was able to help Jim’s son John, get cataract surgery, and restore vision to his left eye, and overall much improve his vision. I was also able to help John and Dawn Faries, restore much of their house. After Nancy Smith Faries, (Jim’s youngest daughter) passed away with a severe respiratory infection that progressed to overwhelming sepsis.

I have also been serving as Stake Relief Society President, it is a women organization of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. After 4 years I have been released and am looking forward to my next adventure in serving those around me.

Pets: My 2 energetic Brittany Spaniels, are keeping me young and walking daily, (they would prefer I gallop constantly). My cat is still happy and safe coming and going on his cat sky highway, built especial for him,

Trips: In August, I went on my 1st trip (since Covid) to Jefferson Texas, as a sister’s trip; myself, my sister and two of her daughters. We enjoyed the change of pace and southern greenery and hospitality.

Bones: On labor day I broke my left ring finger. As it turned out rather badly: a spiral facture of the bone requiring 2 surgery’s, a metal plate with 6 screws, and 3 months of physical therapy. My new advise to all: is guard you bones, you don’t know how much you will miss them, until they break.

Gratitude: I am so thankful I live in this country, thankful I could receive appropriate medical care when needed. I am thankful for my families and many friends, who are kind and loving and support me in so many ways. I am thankful for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ: towards me and all mankind. I pray he blesses you all in the coming year. I look forward to next year and more life adventures. Love to you all
