Mom and Dad,
Wow! It has bee really way too long since I wrote to you, and I feel bad. I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Man, it has been a stressful past month. I guess one of the hardest parts was sending an elder home. I never want to do that again. It really takes it out of you. It makes you want home more than anything because you know that he is home with his family and with his girlfriend (at least in this case) and you can't help but think about it, and so it was hard.

In the last 8 weeks we have had six baptisms and have one on date for next Sunday. We also have a 15 year old who will be on date before the end of the week! The Lord is really blessing us. It is unreal! I love it!

Another reason I have been stressed is because of my Bishop. He, for some reason or another, he does not like me and has made it really difficult to baptize. He has gone as far as to say I am "ramming baptisms down his throat." He called my mission president and asked that I be "midnighted!" So, we are not on the best of terms, and that makes my life not the easiest in the world. But the Church is still true and I have really no complaints. I am supposed to learn from this, but how I don't yet know. Transfers are approaching soon (they are in the first part of December), and chances are good I will not be here for Christmas. But who knows?

I hope all is well and good. I love you and miss you.
Love, Elder Alan Hatch II

Post Script: Green Bay is 8-1 and it is debatably the second best team in the league!
