Address on the outside of the envelope: Elder Hatch 610 W Elizabeth Street #7 Monroe, WA 98272 11-24-06 Dad & Mom, Well, I finally made it to Washington!! All the weather has done so far is drip, then drip, and then drip some more. I am in a biking/car area. It is cool, but I need a bike. The missionary here before me took his home with him, so I need some money for a bike. I bought a helmet for 31 dollars, but I need a bike because we are walking instead of riding. We have a car but we share it with some sisters, so that is not good, plus we only get 900 miles a month, but we cut that in half because we share with sisters. That means we only get 450 miles, plus our area is all spread out. We use the car for the far away appointments and walk to the rest, which is not good. My feet hurt, but my shoes are waterproof which helps. My trench coat is working out well. It keeps me warm and dry. Oh, I guess I should tell you where I am. I am in Monroe. It is a little town. My companions name is Elder Gattie. He is cool. He is also from Mesa AZ, what are the odds? But I am glad that I have a raincoat because it rains!!! I went shopping today, and I rocked. I only spent 10 dollars but got a lot of food. I even got grits. The plane ride was a blast. I loved it. The take off and turning in the air were the best. Well, Happy Thanksgiving. I need money. I have nothing to sleep with, no blankets, no pillow, nothing. I freeze every night. Hey, the sun just came out, but now it is gone again. I love you. The work is hard but must go on. Elder Hatch Post Script: Send money. I am cold!!! (at night.) |
