12-19-06

Dad and Mom,
Well life is good, I guess. I baptized my first person on Saturday the 16th. It was amazing. I will tell you more about it when I call you.

Oh... So I am getting special permission to write and am over nighting this letter. So, when do you want me to call and where do you want me to call. I can call one place for 30 to 40 minutes and that is it. So, you tell me when and where, Ok? I will call and talk to you. Please write back the day you get this so I have it by Christmas, ok? That is really important so if I don't hear from you I will call home at 10:00. We are 1 hour ahead of you so it will be 9:00 here and 10 there. So be waiting.

I hope all is well. Tell everyone to write down questions they have so we are not wasting time. One thing I have learned is to manage my time because it is not mine anymore. It is the Lords, so I care more about it and use it effectively than I did at home. So, write back as soon as possible.

I love you and will talk to you later (like six days from now).
Love you

Post Post Script: I would like copies of your letters to Nathen and to your Mom.

It is not intuitively obvious how I could get a reply to AJ before Christmas (given that mail is not delivered on Sunday). AJ must have figured that out, as he had a member call (she talked to Barbara) and we told her to have the young man call at 10 am pacific standard time (11 am mountain standard time). I suppose that wasn't actually breaking the rules, but I perhaps they bent just a bit. (Food for thought: How many times can a rule be bent before it breaks simply from fatigue?)
