They told me it was cold and snowy up here, but I didn't believe it until I saw it for myself...

Ma & Pa,

Well, good to know you survived! Sounds like you and Nathen had a good time, and ate better than I do. But then, you are notorious for your cooking. Well Dad, if I would have skipped to the end, your letter would have consisted of four paragraphs of three sentences each, so I read the blow by blow account. I had its dull moments but I enjoyed it. I am glad you took the ninja mask on your trip. You probably looked like a stud. I would like to see pictures. I sent you a letter. Did you not get it?

Mom, how was your trip? I did not see you in Snohomish. I was looking for you but I never saw you. How is Lindsay doing? Did she get the birthday card for Daniel that I sent?

Dad, you should tell all of your children that if you have a first class stamp, you don't need a 2¢ stamp. They all have first class stamps and put another 2¢ on them.

Did I tell you about my shoulder? I hurt it diving for a Frisbee in a game of Ultimate Frisbee. That was two weeks ago and it feels a little better. At first I could not touch my right hand to my left shoulder. I can now, but not all the way to the middle of my back like I can with my left hand. The throwing motion really hurts, but I will be ok so don't worry.

I am glad you had fun on your trip!

The work is going good. We have someone on date for the 16th at 7 pm. The Bishop is going to baptize him. I am excited about that. We do about 3 to 4 hours a day tracting and it is no fun, but you do what you have to, I guess. My shirts are turning gray because I wear them so much, but that is the life of a missionary. Well, I am out of room, so have a good week and get some rest, so you don't overwork yourself.

Love, Elder Alan Hatch, II
