I would rather stand on my head than tract... |
5-30-07 Sorry I did not write back to your last letter. I figured that no one would be home to get it, and then the time slipped away from me, so now I have two letters to write about! I can't believe you rode down Park Links Drive. That can't be safe or comfortable. So, it sounds like you had a rough trip across the country. I guess the big question is, "Did you have fun?" If you did, then I think it was successful. I have no idea what hood Nathen is talking about, but hopefully it served him well. It would have been sweet to see a bald eagle dive in for a fish. So the postmark on the letter is "Pocatello, ID, 83211." This is pretty cool to have a letter from Pocatello. I did not expect to get a letter from you while you were on your trip, but then again, you said you would write once a week and my Dad does not go back on his word (unless he forgets). So, Mom, I saw this saying on a door the other day and it made me think of you. The only problem is that I don't remember it any more because I have knocked on a few doors since then. I am thinking of you, I just can't remember what it said... Well, the hair on my face is coming in fast. If I forget to shave one day I look like Grizzly Adams and I can't look like him, as he wasn't a missionary. Summer conference was yesterday and, well, it was fun. President and Sister Ashton were crying about having to go home soon. I will miss them but I will have 16½ months with the new president. I am doing ok. My arm hurts, but that is because I dove for a Frisbee and landed on it really wrong. It has hurt for the past week, but is slowly getting better. I hope you are doing good and have a good week.
I love you! Post Script: I am working on my penmanship. Can you tell? Thanks for the words of council in you last letter. It really opened my eyes to the bigger picture and I have not done it for 1½ weeks now. So thank you for your words. Post Post Script: I saw Elder Speith in The Sound, the handout the Mission puts out, although I have not spoken with him yet. I am on the lookout for him and will keep you updated. |
DOCTRINE & COVENANTS DASH
Read six days a week approximately 7-8 pages/day. On the seventh day, "rest" or you may have to "repent." Stay current; every other missionary will be right where you are in your reading. Don't dally! Discussions will be held during every zone meeting and district meeting on that week's reading. Read for the spirit and pure ENJOYMENT!
