Mom and Dad,
Well, I finally got transferred. I am up in the heart of Bellingham. It is a complete change. I went from the middle of nowhere to the "Best" place in the mission.

So, on the 29th of his month we get a new mission president. I am excited for that because this mission is totally run by numbers and over half of the missionaries do not like it. There is so much stress on us, to get people out to church and then baptize them. Yes I know that this work is so important, but it is too intense. If we don't get people to church you just get town down by leadership, and they make you feel like a worthless person (I know, I have been torn down). So I hope the mission changes because 16 months is a long time to be unhappy. But enough about the mission politics.

My new companion is Elder Farri. He is from Ohio and I love this guy. We have so much fun and have 2 people on date for baptism, so that makes life a ton better. He was my district leader over in Bothell, so I knew who he when I got put with him. He loves to play the guitar and sing, so it is a lot of fun to be around him.

I did get the baptism in Snohomish two weeks ago, and it was really nice. I was way happy for that.

In the D&C dash I am way behind because it is like a history book with some good verses here and there. I am just going so slowly with it. I can't get into it but I am still trying.

We have not had dinner in the past 4 days because no one singed up. I have been living off frozen bean burros and chicken nuggets because that is all we have and we can't go shopping except on p-day, which is three days away.

Well, lunch is almost over so I will let you go. Have a good week and have fun. I know I will try.

Love, Elder Alan Hatch II
