Mom and Dad,

Wow! How time is running away from me. They say a mission is shaped like a house. The first six months are straight up the wall, and they take forever. The six months to one-year period is a little easier, as you go the incline of the roof.

After that it is down the other side of the roof from one year to eighteen months. Then they say, it is like falling off the house, because now you are off the roof and gravity pulls you right down. If this analogy is correct, then I have begun to fall on my way to the earth. Any suggestions on how I should land?

I just learned that on the 31st of this month Elder Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles is coming to speak to us. That will be a real treat. I have enjoyed listening to apostles that come and see us. I am sure he will be a wonderful speaker.

As for the work--on Wednesday the 30th of April we put two girls on date for baptism, so we are excited. For that, the ward is also excited and that is a big plus. We have a couple of other people we are working with who will most likely get baptized next transfer. We will see.

I am doing well and am happy to report that I am still alive, so no worries. But, I have lost more weight again. I will be calling home on the 4th to find a time to call on the 11th--president's orders.
