I'll bet the Mission President doesn't know about this...

Mom and Dad, So who even says it is my hand that is bleeding? Because you know for all you know that could be my companions hand. You don't know. But I do so I will tell you, I guess. The first week in this area we were doing service. We were digging a ditch for a really old man in the ward. While doing so, my companion hit me in the hand with his shovel. I was not the happiest person, but I lived, so no worries. It is almost fully healed now. So, no biggie. But that night we came in and I heated up a needle with a lighter and it melted its way through my nail with ease. And, well, that hurt too because I did it twice because there was that much blood. I thought I told you. I know I told someone, but I guess it was not you. So the work is still going forward. We had 2 baptisms this past weekend so I am pretty happy with that. The old lady (Sewell) is still in the works. She said she would come to church, but so far no luck. When she is ready it will happen, not on my time, but one the Lords. We had Stake Conference this past Sunday. It was ok, I guess. Elder Dickson was the General Authority in attendance. It was alright. Today we had Zone Conference, an eight hour meeting :-( . I hate them with a passion. Is that bad? Don't answer that! I think I told you about Elder Ballard. If not, he came and spoke to three missions, us, Tacoma, and Seattle. It was pretty good I guess. I enjoyed it. Well, not much else here, so I will talk to you later. Good job on the trip. Talk to you soon. Elder Alan Hatch, P.S. Who do you have in the NBA finals? I say Boston all the way! Oh Yeah! I hate the Lakers.
P.S. I got the memory card OK! Editors note: It is not clear how the lad learned of comments concerning his bleeding finger (that photo and commentary were available only on Grandmasweb). |
