Transferred again, this time to a small island in the Pacific Ocean...
Fortunately, it is connected to land by a bridge, such that
the lad will not have to subsist entirely on a diet of fish...

Mom and Dad,
Well, I have a long story, so try to keep up. On Saturday at 6:00 pm the president called me and told me that my companion and I were being midnighted and whitewashed, and that we needed to pack and get things with our investigators all squared up, and be in Marysville in 3 hours (by 9 pm). We got the call while we were at dinner, so we ate quickly (and I mean quickly). We went to all of our investigators houses and told them what had happened. They were all sad. Then we had about an hour and a half to pack, and then it was an hour to Marysville.

So, long story short, 36 missionaries got moved around and I now live in Oak Harbor. I am serving with Elder Summerfeldt who I have known my whole mission. He has been out 21 months and I like him. He is from Vages, Nevada (Ed note: Las Vegas?). He is older (23 I think). My last two companions have been 23 and 25. I wonder what the Lord is trying to tell me. But in my new ward we have three baptisms this Saturday, so I am pretty excited about that. That will make five baptisms this transfer for me. I am way happy about that. I did not do anything wrong, I am just the victim of the happening. But, I think I like it here. I am actually hoping to die here. I only have four months left, so that would be nice. If you have any questions, just let me know.

So, if you could get ahold of Mia and Mylinda and let them know I got transferred? (Consider yourselves gotten ahold of.) I just sent them each letters the day before, so move fast. I am back living in an apartment. I really love it. I am glad to be out of a member's home. I hated it! ) -: But, it is over now, so no worries.

My longest area was Snohomish 2nd ward. I was there four and one half months. Ferndale was, like, four months. I was going to have a tie, but I got midnighted. So, talk to you latter, and stay out of trouble.

Elder Alan Hatch, II

Post Script: What calling did you get? Why did the Stake President call you in for a meeting?
Post Post Script: Thanks for the stamps.

The lad looks like he means business, doesn't he?
