After much talking, planning and even more talking and prodding, I finally made it up to visit and spend time at Mia's and Wyatt's. It was so nice to see Mia's flowers and Wyatt's green grass. (That's one of the things that I miss the most of living in Arizona and it's still hard for me even after 22yrs.) It was so cute to see their little "Bella" and "Arial" "stalking" through her flowerbed. They had their own little flowerpatch jungle and reminded me of the movie "Secondhand Lions". Bella and Arial are compliments of their nextdoor neighbor's cat. Evidently, she nursed them for awhile and then somehow disappeared, leaving five little kittens that were motherless. Wyatt struck a deal with Mia for two of the five and so the bottlefeeding and kitten raising in the Ramsay household commenced. Now, a few weeks later, we enjoyed alot of laughs from watching them play around and pounce on each other. Little Kylie, as most young kids, has a unique way of holding or carrying them....and judging by the survivalbility of the kittens so far...they'll be around for some time. |
I had planned to do some baking while on my visit. Here, Abbie and Kylie are "helping Grandma" fill some Winnie the Pooh cupcake liners with cake batter.

I think they enjoyed it quite throughly....more cake batter on the outside of their little bodies and inside their tummies!!! These two pictures are where my helpers are the cleanist! Only these two pictures made it past Grandpa's photo editing censure.
While the girls took a nap, Little Wyatt helped me with mixing and scooping out chocolate chip cookie dough. This, also, ended up with less than half baked into cookies. Suprise!! Suprise!! |
Ta Da....This is a picture of Abbie posing for her Momma before our baking session. Isn't she a Cutie?

Kylie squealing over the amount of bubbles comming out the bubble machine. |
Wyatt holding the bubble machine. The box claimed it could put out 4,000 bubbles a minute...with their brand of liquid bubbles. It sure did a decent job on the generic brand of bubble stuff. Somehow we went through one of those HUGE bottles of bubbles in mostly one day. They were so facinated with the bubble machine I had brought up with me. I sure was glad to have brought up the little sunhats that the girls are wearing. It suprised me they lasted the whole time I was up there. They are just cheap little straw hats that I had picked up and I was sad that the store only had two hats.

I took this picture of Kylie after attempting to show her how to blow bubbles. |
A picture taken of Abbie trying to "eat bubbles".

I took this on the first day. I had shown the kids how to make snapdragons "ROAR". Here Abbie is showing the dragon's beard. |
A cute picture of Kylie talking to her Dad.

Here is little Wyatt with the fake gun that He and I made for him out of a fabric tube for use as the gun barrel; a used electrical tie and short plastic tube from a cane I had just purchased for the trigger and gunsite, and electrical tape and part of one of their stick fishing poles to help support the barrel. He gets to stay up a little while longer in the evenings and so we worked on this together. He didn't know about the addition of the "trigger" until the next morning. He was so excited and was grinning from ear to ear. He sure was tickled. As we were making it, He kept refering to His Dad's gun. He was so proud of "His" gun and now he had a gun just like Dad did. I took several poses and pictures with he and his gun. I did admonish him not to leave it in the sun, and that by getting the tape warm, the tape would soften and loosen up and possibly come apart. Where's duct tape when you need it for important jobs like this? I really enjoyed being able to spend time with Him. It really warmed my heart to be able to do something for him that made him so happy. |

I caught Abbie sitting in her doll cradle and just had to take a picture of her. Now, I know why Mia snapped up my offer of a wooden doll cradle that I had! |
Kylie wanted Grandma to take a picture of her holding "her Baby".
