Labor Day Camping Trip 2016

So far I have come up with 3 suggested places for Labor Day Camping:
1. Mule Creek - Winner
2. Pine, AZ
3. Williams/Flagstaff Area
Each spot has some pros and cons.

The criteria is as follows:
1. No neighbors while camping
2. Working bathrooms
3. Something to do while camping

Here are the way each of these three stack up so far:

Mule Creek is the winner.

Camping spot
Pros
Cons
1. Mule Creek
1. Everyone is familiar with it - (Campsite chosen)
2. Bathrooms are close
3. No fee spot to camp
4. Almost no neighbors while camping
5. Fairly close to centered location
6. Can go and visit the Mogollon Ghost Town in NM.
1. Not close to any Hotels for those how like to camp there.
2. We have been there before.
2. Pine AZ
1. Close to Natural Bridge State Park - (hike involved?)
2. We have never tried it out
1. Close to Phoenix - Probably lots of neighbors.
2. No idea where to camp - Probably any place with bathrooms is booked already
3. Probably not close to any hotel camping (unless Pine or Strawberry has something)

3. Williams or Flagstaff
1. New area
2. Close to Lava Tubes (last visit was in 2008)
3. Visit the Train in Williams
4. Hotels available in Flagstaff
5. Could visit Grand Can you South Rim
1. No idea where to camp
2. No idea if bathrooms are available

Another thought - if the bathrooms are important, we could make/bring one with us for those so inclined...

The next issue is meals.  I thought we would try a 1st come 1st serve basis.  Below are the meals needed (6).  I am taking requests to populate the table below:

Friday
Saturday
Sunday
Monday
Breakfast
N/A AJ & Brittney
*Breakfast Burritos*
Braxton & Sabrina
*Sausage on a stick*
Alan & Barbara
*Oatmeal*
Lunch
N/A
??? ??? N/A
Dinner
Nathen & Terra
*Chicken*
Wyatt & Mia
*Pizza*
???
N/A

The question has been asked - What about lunch?
In the past we have just done snacks for lunch.  Do we want to try that again?  Who is going to bring them?  Or should we plan meals again?  AJ & Brittney think that
at some point, the kids are giong to start eating and then lunch will become important.  Our kids really don't eat much, but Sabrina's & Mia's do.  Should we try for lunches
this year?  We are at T-2 weeks.  We could double up on meals if we did lunch.  I am looking for input.

I will be waiting for comments on the above.  I need to know your camping location preference and meal assignment. Send me an email
or just modify this page.
