The prodigal husband returned!

and then left again, but it was good to have him home.
Jon made it home just in time for our trip to Reno, Nevada. We forgot our garment bag at home in our bathroom in Puyallup. as you can tell by the photo we did manage to convince some a poor soul to take an 10 foot ladder crawl through and open window find the bag drive it the 45 minutes to the airport and then convinced southwest airlines to break the law and allow the bag to travel without a ticketed passenger. Are we good or what?!
Jon was happy to be home. With me at work all the time he had lots of rest. He did manage to procure a nintendo wii in his short stay home. I don't know how he talks me into these things but I must admit I find the little gadget very entertaining.
Daniel and Kaleb are, of course, growing like weeds. They both love day care. Daniel loves the movie cars, Jon was kind enough to provide me with the sound track so I can hear life is a highway until I lose my senses. Kaleb loves Mickey mouse and Jon found a big cut out rug of Mickey mouse for his room to go with the picture of Mickey saluting in front of the flag I had put up months ago.
Both little monkeys where thrilled to see Daddy. It was like a wrestling marathon. Kaleb was worried the first couple days that every time Jon left the room he wouldn't come back. A valid concern. Sadly just as he became comfortable with the idea of daddy staying home it was time to leave again.
As I said before I was doing a great deal of working while Jon was home. I was transferred and promoted at the beginning of the year and I am still getting my bearings. I am beginning to get used to the extra hours and responsibility, but as with all things it will take time. Having Jon home was wonderfully distracting. Getting back to life without him is always a struggle.
Before he had to go he and I were both blessed and that gives me a bit of comfort. Our little family feels fragmented, but we all know it is temporary. Thank you everyone for your continued support.

The Gatlin family
