One of the major problems with not writing news letters with consistency is that when one finally gets around to composing one, where do you start?

What info is important to warrant being added to the coveted letter and what photos does one add and do they go with the important information that is being shared. Luckily for me those are all first world problems.

First I should start with an update on Alex. Over the summer I have come to discover many things didn't know. First, when you go and see a Dr. you are paying him to give you an opinion. Second, that opinion that you paid a lot of money for can and does change at any given moment.

Third, we are created after God's image and so no human no matter how educated will ever know a lot of how it works.

With that Alex is doing well. He was hospitalized in Aug. where he had another Liver Biopsy done, it showed that the original diagnoses was no longer a diagnoses but a description of his liver. Since that time we have consulted with liver experts and have yet to come up with a diagnoses thus far so stay tune.

In the mean time this new information has not really changed anything as we have never treated the liver. So far we have only treated the Hemolytic Anemia.

We took Alex down to Houston Texas to see a liver Dr there and after some testing and a lot of money we still don't know what is going on with his liver. Alex liver and blood have fluctuated all summer long, we are hoping that if we can get his levels stable than he will go into remission.

He is a good trooper and has weathered the ups and down with ease. As Alex levels have gone up so has his steroid dose, at the time I didn't notice much change but as I looked back at photos over the summer some photos Alex has a very round face and others he is his normal self.

Lauren has been in cheer again this year and is doing so well. She won the most Spirit at a Cheer camp at the beginning of the season and that has boosted her self confidence. She has gone from one of the quite girls on the squad to one of the loudest. I'm very proud of her.

The squad went to competition and they competed against third graders. All the girls were nervious going up against girls who are a grade older than they are but they did so good and took home first place.

Lauren is a smart young lady and loves to help out where she is needed. She does really well in math and loves to help cook.

Carson is so happy to be in Kindergarten. I have volunteered a lot at the school since Lauren started and Carson couldn't wait to be old enough to attend. It is fun to watch as he goes to class as if he runs the place. I think in some ways he gets away with more than he should as most of the teachers already know him.

He is a very sweet boy. He loves to laugh and act silly. He was concerned that he would not be good at Kindergarten because he didn't know math but he has done really well.
