Hello to you all! We are doing really well here in Oklahoma. Carson turned three since I last wrote, he however is under the impression that it is better to be old than just three. |
If you ask him how old he is he will tell you that "he is old" or that he is "really, really old!" For his birthday he wanted Teenage Mutant Ninja turtle so we made a Leonardo cake. |
He is a sweet little guy, but has a rotten streak a mile wide. He loves to help no matter what the task that is being done. |
Some of his favorite things are to go out and help his Dad work. I am not sure if he likes the safety gear or the tools better. |
He has also gotten to the age where it is the best thing in the world to harass his sister. He is like all brothers in the aspect but as a mom I find it so irritating. |
I find myself telling him that if he knows Lauren doesn't like it please stop doing it. Lauren is getting ready to turn 5 and is loosing teeth left and right. |
So far she has lost the two bottom middle teeth, the two front teeth, and now the bottom left one as well. She is such a brave little girl because every time one gets loose she runs to her dad and asks him to tie a string to it so she can pull it out. |
She is all girl loves jewelry, makeup and purses. She also LOVES horses and to play pretend. |
She really liked playing house where she was mom but over the last couple of days she has changed it to where she is the Grandma instead of mom. Laruen is also getting an opinion of her own. |
I thought at the beginning of the school year that this was something that I really wanted to encourage for her. She didn't have a care as to what she wore, or what games her and her friends would play. |
What ever anyone else wanted was fine with her.
I am starting to really miss those days.
|
I was making breakfast the other morning and Lauren had requested pancakes. I made the batter warmed the griddle greased it and them poured the batter. |
When I went to flip the pancake would not come off the pan. So I cleaned the griddle and repeated the process with the same result. |
So I switched pans with same results. I than gave up and told Lauren the she would have to settle on something else as the pancakes kept burning. |
She responded with "its okay mom you just can not cook very well and need more practice!" I attempted to show Lauren that I could cook so the next time I made pancakes and they turned out beautifully I pointed it out. |
She responded with "See a little practice goes a long way but they still are not the color they should be." Zeke is doing well; he still teaches at Spartan and is working on different energy saving projects. |
He was able to attach the solar panels to the roof and they are able to soak up more sunshine being up there. His next project was to get some goats that we could milk them. |
His mother was nice enough to find us some. We got two mix breed of goats that are not as big as a regular milking goat, but did come from a petting zoo and at least one of which is pregnant. |
We are going to wait till the one gives birth to see if she is able to be milked. The children love them and Laruen makes sure to tell them when and where were are going every time we leave the house. |
I am doing well, keeping busy sewing, mostly for other people but some for us. I am also expecting out third child due Sept 2, 2013. So far so good I feel great and baby is growing right on schedule.
I am also still working out three days a week with the ladies from church.
Hope this find you all doing well!
Love,
