This is the dress that I made for Lauren. Now, I have to tell you that I made this dress while visiting Mia. I had to sew the dress together about three different times before I got Lauren's correct size and the dress to fit correctly. Once I got home, I also made a slip to go with the dress so it would make the skirt look full.

This is Lauren before we left for church. I waited until we were about to leave before putting her in the dress. Zeke was nice enough to take pictures of us. I then decided that I would take some more pictures so, I set her down on the floor and when I turned around to pick her up, this is what I found!

Needless to say I was pretty upset. Two seconds that is all it took! Although, some of you may wonder why I was surprised. I would remind you that Lauren is my first child, and I haven't had the joy of finding something destroyed in such a short period of time. This was the first time for her. Yeah, another first, and such a fun one too! I was so upset, and short on time. I couldn't be late for church because I was speaking. I quickly put her in a dress that Aunt Laura brought us from Peru. (I didn't take her picture but, she sure did look cute!)

Lauren has also started to really climb things. This was her first attempt to get up the stepstool and she stood there proudly for about three minutes before wanting help down. She is not walking alone, she has the ability but, she lacks the confidence to do it alone. I'm not complaining and I'm glad that she can't go too quickly out of sight.

Lauren loves to see what it is that you are doing, no matter the project. Zeke was trying to fix a leaky faucet and found that Lauren was always there when he turned around. That must be why it takes two to have children, otherwise, one might never accomplish anything.

Zeke bought me a kitchen table for my birthday, and I really loved the table. Then we set it up. First, it is heavy enough that I had a hard time lifting my end. Second, we didn't measure it when we bought it and found that it did not quite fit into the old table spot in the house. I like it just the same, and am excited to finally have a table with matching chairs. I am glad to really have the chairs as that is what we lacked before. YEAH!!!

As an after thought to this letter...when Symantha was visiting with us, we went out for a walk and were followed home by a female Great Dane. She looked to have not eaten for awhile and was very well mannered. So, we brought her inside and went about posting found adds for her. She was so good, didn't bark, didn't run over the baby, didn't pull when you walked her, didn't get on the furniture, her only down side is that she literally tried to eat my cat. So after having her four days and going out to buy the necessary food and accoutrements; her owners came to our door and took her home. She was BIG but I liked her.

Hope this finds you all doing well. Love ya, The Ellis family
