Hi there! So there have been several events since my last email and I will try to recap. First our oldest turned 2!! I am not sure how or when that happened but alas it did. I made her puppy cupcakes for the event. I asked her what she thought they looked like and she did not answer so I asked her if they were monkey's and she responded "yes" I said "no." Then I asked her if they were penguins she agreed, I again said "no." Last I asked if they were puppies and she said "nope!" Once I got her to agree that they were in fact puppies she spent the rest of the day asking if she could eat a puppy! |
We had some friends over for the party and she kept asking them to eat puppies I had to explain it to the mom why Lauren wanted to eat dog. Ha Ha. |
Lauren did not get that it was her birthday but was happy enough to open presents. |
Zeke has been working away at his schooling but he took a break to hold Carson. I think this is one of me Favorite photos of Carson. |
In honor of Lauren turning two she got to go to the Dr. for Vaccinations. However she broke out in hives while at the Dr.'s so she did not have to get any. Not really sure what caused it but it looked painful. She had them from head to toe. |
Then Mia came to play with us and we went to the aquarium (which was the busiest I have ever seen it!) then we went and had a picnic. The wind was blowing something fierce! |
Mia was here for two days and Day 1 was sunny and in the high 70's. Day two was snowing and cold! On day 2 in the snow and all Mia and I packed up my kiddos and headed for a town north of here about thirty minutes away. I as driving my car and slid on some ice! OH it was a little scary we slid all over the road before finally sliding backwards off the edge of the road down the embankment. I thought that we would hit the trees at the bottom however we slide and made it with out front tire on a frontage road. I could not believe it before I could call Zeke two gentlemen stopped to help us. So they pulled us back on the road and off we went. On the way home we were coming around a curve and suddenly we were headed the opposite direction and decided that it was time for the snow chains. Poor Mia she comes to visit and I tried to kill her at least three time on one trip. So when we are putting on the chains, I say we but it was really Mia doing all the work I was looking out for sliding cars. We had two or three close calls but no one hit us thankfully. We finally made it home about two hours later. On the way we passed about 15 cars that all went around a corner and they all just slid off the road! Some one was really watching out for us on that trip. |
I went a day after Mia and Wyatt down to Nathen's. We had lots of fun hanging out. It was good of Terra to put up with all of the turmoil we brought to her cute house. |
I really had a great time. Lauren and Rachel were super cute together. At the beginning of the week they were good friends. In the middle of the visit every time Rachel would come near Lauren she would cry. Then as we were getting ready to leave they got along again. |
Fun at the Mississippi river! |
The water was pretty cool, can you tell? |
Terra's back yard came with all the fixings. I think everyone liked the trampoline was the best but the slide came in close. |
This is in the train museum Rachel and Lauren found a table and Lauren found it really funny. |
Of course Lauren also found riding in a train with Abbie to be funny. She must just be at that stage where life if full of funny things. |
While we were out side at the museum a train drove by everyone waved. |
Carson seemed to sleep or eat while we were there. Life for him is good! |
We stopped to play on some tanks of course Lauren and Rachel were more interested in flowers. It was windy that day as well. |
We were sad to leave Nathen's and Terra's but it was good to get back in our own beds! |
Lauren woke up so I put her in our bed and the is what I found later after she went back to asleep. Mia brought me some bunk beds when she came out and we put Lauren in her "new' bed the first couple of nights were great but since then she gets up several times a night and moves to other places in the house to sleep. The favorites are: trampoline in the living room, our bed, and the couch. I hope it is a phase she grows out of SOON! |
Since coming back we had to have out septic pumped, ICK! I was glad that the lid was uncovered so it was not hard to find. We have had so much rain that our leeching line are not draining. Out neighbor told us that he lays a tarp down over the lines to help with that. Stay tuned to see how it pans out.
Miss you all, |
