Hello and greetings to everyone. It has been just over a month since I last wrote and lots has been going on. Zeke went to the field. For those of us who have packed for a long vacation knows how messy everything can end up when trying to find things for the trip. When a soldier packs for a feild exercise it is about ten times worse.
This is the night before he left as they only were given two days notice and then worked him until late he had to pack the night before. This is our spare bed room well this is it after Zeke was done packing all the army pearaphanialia that he needed to take with him. If you think girls take to many things when they go somewhere look at a packing list for a soldier. Zeke had 47 things to bring on a three week field exercise.
I thought I would help out with the packing. Poor Zeke! I'm worse then a kid. I had to try all his army things on. I'm wearing a Kevlar helmet. It is about 15lbs. I think. I'm not positive, but I think it weighs that much. Zeke isn't home or I would ask him. He was to be gone for three weeks, but was able to come home two days early. He is in Hanau but I can't go and see him until they are done with him. I did talk to him but I'm waiting on the call to go and pick him up. That is the Army's moto, Hurry Up and WAIT! GERRRRRRR it makes me mad. I dont' like to wait. Not when he is this close. But I am learning patience.
So while he was gone I went on a road trip. We were going to go to Munich but went to Nurenburg instead, mostly because it was in the high 90's we were in a car with no AC. Further, most stores don't have AC here so we cut the trip short. It is about five hours to Munich and three to Nurenburg. I went with Some people from work. It was really pretty there we went up into the Castle and took some pic.
I bought some orange roses for one of the ladies at church that plays the panio. I carried them around Nurenburg for about six hours and then held them on the way home. Surprisingly enough they survived the trip. I bought 21 roses for 6 euros (about 8 dollars). Pretty good deal I thought.
The weekend after Zeke left I did hair for a prom. The victim's name is Kathaline. She picked out the style I just did it for her. It turned out nice the pic isn't all that good.
Work has been going well. I am learning to work in Pros. (Crown, bridges, dentures, ect) It is a lot of fun. I don't know what is going on half the time but I enjoy learning new things. The Pros doc is leaving soon so he is finishing all his cases that he was working of so it is a lot of adjusting and the final product which is a lot of fun. It is nice to see the end result. We had this guy who needed crowns on every tooth in his mouth because he grinds his teeth. All he had left were stumps. LOTS of work but they looked so nice when he left. It only took 12 hours to cement them and adjust his bite. That was the most interesting thing that we did. It was weird to go from a work area where I know what everything is to an area where I am unfamiliar. The two work areas are about five feet away from each other but worlds apart.
Primary is going good and camp is coming up soon that will be nice. Well hope you all had a good time at the family reunion. Sorry I couldn't be there but next year hopefully. Love and miss you all.
Zeke and Mylinda Ellis
