Hello Friends and family. For those that remember me I'm Mylinda Ellis. For those that don't because it has been too long since you read my last newsletter, I'm Alan's Oldest twin. It has been so busy with everything going on here that I haven't had the time to write..............Ok so I have HAD the time to write I have just used it doing other things. Sabrina got me hooked on a series of books called Amelia Peabody. GOOD BOOKS! (Yes Dad I can read I know that is a little hard to believe but I do it because I want to not because I have to). So I have been doing a lot of reading as of late and just haven't taken the time to write. For those that have small kids don't be jealous. After seeing how much time it takes to care for little people I decided that I would use the time I have while I still have it. (Hee Hee)

Zeke is doing really well in school and is having a great time doing it. He is getting all A's so far and is enjoying learning new things. He got a job and starts it on Monday. He will be working for a company called Helicon, they make airplane parts. He will be using an Autoclave to put corrosion on parts so that they don't corrode. Dad that might make some sense to you, but I used the smile and nod approach. No just joking. After Zeke so graciously explained it to me, it made some sense. That is the good news the bad news is that he will be making more then me! I guess I'm in the wrong profession! I am excited for him to have something else to do he was getting bored sitting around the house until I come home.

As for me, I'm still working but as of Aug 11 2006 I will be a full time student attending Tulsa Community College. I'm taking Freshman Comp 1, Biology, Chemistry, and History (from Civil War to present). Sound like a good time huh? Not to worry though, I will make the time to write newsletters. No..........really I promise I will..........no I won't forget you guys! Thank you for writing and keeping me up to date on the going-ons in AZ. I have to say since coming back from the visit I'm homesick. It was ok in Germany. I guess I didn't have to think about it. Out of sight out of mind. Tulsa is closer than Germany, so I'm getting there, slowly but surely.

So Zeke claims to have married me because I "told him I was part Mexican" and was able to cook Mexican food. So I went to his mom's while he was off on his motorcycle trip and learned how she makes tamales. Surprisingly it wasn't that hard.

Now I vaguely remember helping out as a kid with making tamales, but not so well that I could do it by myself. It is really not all that hard. It is however something that should be done in the winter when the heat from the cooking of them won't try to kill you. WOW! I don't think I have sweated that much in some time.
Zeke's mom was smart I got there in Friday and we started cooking the meat. Then Saturday we made the masa and got everything ready. She showed me how to roll them and then went to work, leaving me so assemble and cook about 90 Tamales. Good call on her part. She didn't do it on purpose, it just happened that way. Zeke's mom is really nice.

I did have some company while I was working, as she has a bird named George. Zeke came home to find that there are some things that are Mexican dishes that I can cook.

Zeke had a really good time on his motorcycle trip. He rode up to Mt Rushmore with some of his army buddies. It was about a 7-day trip. The last day he wanted to get home so he rode 657 miles. That is about 14 hours on a bike. I was really glad to see him but amazed that he got home in one piece. (Ladies that is when you know you have trained your man well when he will ride that long to see you!) It was really nice of him to ride all day so he could come home early. Here are some pictures of Zeke on his trip.

Looks like fun sorry I missed it. This is also me with my hair cut and permed. I really like it, but miss my long hair too. I suppose that it will grow back.

Well hope everyone is doing well.

We love and miss you all.
Love Zeke, Mylinda
