Ok, now I have heard many people asking about our move and when are we putting up photos. I have not had very much sympathy for these requests especially since those making the requests have failed to post any letters about anything, this should be both early and prompt. Hopefully others will follow suit and keep up the posting of something. We didn't get much photos of the event, but this how it looked. As we were loading the crib, I looked up and just out of this photo, there was a praying mantis up on the wall of the carport. At first I thought nothing of it, I just showed Terra, and we went on moving. Then later that day, about 7 hours later, while I was outside moving the table out of our house, I kept feeling something crawling on the back of my neck, I made two attempts to get the fly off, and then on the third attempt a praying mantis came off of my neck and landed on the concrete.

This is what the little guy looked like in his home sweet home. What I found so interesting was his next behavior. After he dropped on me, and I threw him on the ground, and I started stomping my foot right around him to see if he would meander off on his own, he actually bowed up and tried to hold his ground. Apparently my carport was really his carport. I went inside and got a cardboard box and started swatting the ground with it and he was blown over, he stood up and bowed up once again. Then I blew him over again, and he laid over and played dead.

I never new they played dead. I haven't ever seen on do that before. I went over and inspected him and he just laid there on his back. So I got the cardboard box and blew him again. This time he landed within 2 inches from my friendly under-eve living wasp. I thought that for sure he would want to move and not be to close to the encounter. Well again I was wrong. He just laid there. I proceeded to keep loading the trailer, and after about 5 minutes he actually got up and walked over into the grass. I followed his progress for a while and then he blended in to where I couldn't tell it where he was.

During this encounter I also learned that praying mantises actually have wings. I didn't know this, and to some extent it should be oblivious, but I have never had an unfriendly encounter with one until this time. At any rate, I went about my way, and he went his. We ended up taking all of 2 days to completely move everything from one house to another. I don't know how many trips it took in the trailer, but I would guess we are the proud owners of somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 trailer loads of junk. Here is the photo of our new house (complete with a banana tree in the front yard). Against Terra's wishes, I took the camera and went on a small walk through the house. We do have boxes all over the place, and she would have rather me waited until we were completely unpacked to do the walk around, but nevertheless, I thought this would appease the desire for more information. You can view the movie here.

Once in, Then and I built a toy box for the boys to have. Ethen is pretty good and doing the assembling of dowels and camscrews. He would rather put glue in the holes and tap it with a hammer rather than turn the screwdriver. He also thought that we should use a drill rather than turn the screw driver by hand. Where do they come up with these ideas?

On another note, how do you work the new imovie? The old imovie HD will import the camera video and make movies the but the new imovie will not import the filetype .mov movies. Also, forgive the breif and lacking descriptions, but we are tired, and the computer is still in a box somewhere. This was all done on the laptop.
