What a beautiful weekend. It is always nice to see family. We gathered together to honor and pay our respects to Dave Cocks and his beautiful family. It was a perfect day to accompany the perfect event. We ate yummy tacos and visited. It was very laid back and just how Dave would have wanted it. I some how did not get a picture of Leeann and Carrie. So I asked Carrie to send me one! So grateful they took the time to honor their dad. It was so nice to see everyone! |

Nathen and I were able to attend. We originally had plans to go to Idaho this weekend and had previously made plans for Symantha to come and watch our children. Due to several change of events we ended up not going to Idaho. But took advantage of Symantha being at our home to watch our children. We stayed at a resort in Pinetop, the Round House. It was centered around the history of the old steam train that traversed all the areas of the White Mountains and the Saw Mill. It was sold during the 1970's to Heber Utah and was ironically the same steam train that we traveled on while in Utah, the Heber Creeper. My Grandfather Ole' Penrod was the Engineer on that train while it traveled all around the White Mountains. What a small world it is. We stopped by my parents on Friday morning and helped do various tasks. Replaced door handles and helped doors to shut that were struggling and fixed several outlets that were not working. So grateful for Nathen's help. It had been quite sometime since he had been there. My father recently went on oxygen and that has helped him. He looked so old this go around. ' |

Mia and Wyatt and all their children were there. It was so fun to see them. I miss them. It is so interesting how time marches is on. And if you don't take purposeful time to stop and reminisce with those you love, time will get the best of us and those memories go unmade. It was so nice to pause and visit with Nathen's family that we have not seen in awhile. Sabrina and Braxton were among those that we have missed! We saw them all last month in Yellowstone, but it still feels like ages.''
Mylinda, Karren and Alan were able to attend as well. I love the level of support that comes from the Hatch family. It never ceases to impress me. AJ & Brittney and their cute family were their as well. There boys helped keep the event light and happy. |

It was and is always so good to see Margie. I love her upbeat personality and her never ending desire to do good and to be productive. I always love to sit and hear of her adventures and perspective on life. She has been the glue to gather families. It is always so nice to be in Eagar. So many memories flooded my mind while I set and remembered in her front yard. We ate yummy tacos and had some yummy desserts and then we set and visited. What a perfect day. |

Nate and I left when it was over and headed back home. We took the long curvy route (the Coronado Trail or Highway 191) )and went by the Mine where Storm once worked. It is always amazing to see machinery at work and to see the magnitude of all that goes into creating a mine. I read that this is the largest open pit mine in North America. |

We also stopped by PJ's. A local favorite of Storm's. I remember this place being talked about in Storm's funeral. We stopped by and had lunch and had the opportunity to see the owner, Jackie. She remembered Storm and pointed out the round table that she had where several old timers would sit and reminese for hours day after day. She told us that she drives by Storm's home each day and every time she passes by his home her mind floods with Memories of Storm and Gerry. She made a point to tell us, that so many say that Storm genuinely was such a good man. She mentioned that that phrase gets over used, but Storm really was a...Good...Man.
