If you recieved one of Ethen's graduation announcements you noticed that his car graduated from High Shcool this year. For whatever reason, he wouldn't listen to any logic and had to feature that car in all of the photos - contrary to his parents suggestions. As such, you have seen the results. He planned to attend Eastern Arizona College in Thatcher, AZ and room with Wyatt.

He recieved a piano performance scholarship that paid for 90% of tuition. It is a conditional scholarship and as long as he can play all 4 songs as he is supposed to, and makes improvement in his skill - it will be renewed at 100%. This will be an interesting semester at school to see how he does.

He even put an outline of that car on his cap. I think he really wanted that car to graduate.

The ceremony was held on a Friday evening at the football field. We wanted to atted Wyatt's graduation cerimony, but it was 2 days prior to Ethen's.

Sabrina & AJ were all abot to attend the ceremony. Dad and Mylinda also came down, but left prior to the event as to avoid driving home in the dark.

Janelle also had her kintergarden promotion in May. Her cememony was on Wedensday afternoon at the gym at her school. This was the same time as Wyatt's, but 4.5 hours away. We chose to go to her ceremony rather than Wyatt's. Sorry Wyatt, but we figured at least your parents might make your ceremony.

This is her kindergarten class. She is in the front just left of center wearing a pink shirt.

She was really excited about the event. We took this photo on the way down to the school.

I have lost track of time, but in May Sabrina and Mylinda decided to do a birthday party at a random house in Phoenix. They reneted the place and invited us, AJ, Symantha & Mia. As you might expect, Symantha declined to attend the event and so did Mia. We waffled back and forth, but in the end decided that we would attend as well. We planned to only spend 1 night and make it home in time for Church.

As it turned out, the event was much more enjoyable than we anticipated it to be - so we stayed the second night as well, and came home Sunday afternoon. I am not sure what make it so fun, but the house had 5 bedrooms, a swimming pool & pool table. The kids really enjoyed the pool. Alan was out in the pool for probably 8 hours on Saturday. He was finally convinced to get out of it for a while for a break and he fell asleep in the chair next to the pool. When he work up a few hours later he wanted to get back in.

We discuss trying to make this an annual event/tradition. It was a lot more fun that we origionally thought it would be. In fact that seems to be how it goes. Many events that are forign to us we try to get out of, but when we finally end up going they are no where near as bad as we imagine they will be. I don't know why life is like that, but in my experience it is. Whether it is inviting someone over for dinner or atteneding some event hosted elsewhere, they all usually turn out better than you anticipate they will.

This last photo was taken at Terra's parents house in Pinetop. This is Terra's mom, Renee holding both Janelle and Serra. Unfortunately Terra's mom is losing her memory and doesn't remember anything. You can have a converstaion with her, and before you finish the conversation she is already asking questions that were just discussed. The real downside to this is that when decesions are made about plans to do things, she doesn't remember them. Then she gets mad that she isn't incluced in the discussions (even through she was). I assume this is the Alzheimer's disease progresses, but it isn't ver fun. She also gets worse at night. When the sun goes down, there is almost no comforting her because she can't even remember who the people around her are. At least so far she hasn't forgotten who she is marred to, but almost everyone else is sketchy after dark.
