Clover Leaf Rolls
Mix together - 1 1/8 cups lukewarm water
- 1½ tablespoons sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoons dry yeast
Stir until the yeast is dissolved.
Add - 2 tablespoons oil
- 3½ to 3¾ cups flour
- ¼ cups non-fat dry milk powder (mix this with the flour prior to mixing with the liquid)
Add the 3 cups of the flour and stir with a large spoon. Add additional flour as needed and kneed by hand. Dough should be soft but not too sticky. Let it rise to twice its volume. Kneed it down, shape it into smooth balls, and place three or four in each depression of a muffin pan. Let it rise and bake at 375°F. for 35 to 40 minutes. Makes 1 dozen cloverleaf rolls.
