Egg Rolls
(Simmer Sauce)
- ¼ Cup Soy sauce
- 1 t ginger
- 2 T honey
Mix and add to sauted hamburger and veggies (I also added Teriyaki sauce because I like the taste).
- 2 Pkgs, Egg roll skins
- 2 Lbs. Hamburger
- 2 Med. Onions
- 8 Med. Carrots
- 1 Med. Head cabbage
- 4 Stalks of celery
- Oil (for frying)
Allow the eggroll skins come room temperature. Brown the hamburger and drain. Chop all veggies very fine, and add to the hamburger. Saute in the simmer sauce listed above, let simmer until veggies are tender. Let this mixture cool a few minutes so you can work with it. Place 2-3 T of mixture on eggroll skin, and roll like you would a burro. Seal the seam of the skin by dripping fingers in water and running along the edge. Dry your hand before starting next roll. NOTE: If mixture is too wet, the skin will tear. BE GENTLE.
Heat oil in a skillet until hot. Place the eggrolls in the oil, seam side down, and fry until they are golden brown.
