Tres Leche Cake
Makes: 19x13 cake Prep Time: 1hr
Ingredients
- Cake mix – 1 box (white/yellow cakes are traditional, though chocolate is delicious as well)
- Sweetened condensed milk – 14oz can
- Evaporated milk – 12oz can
- Cream – 6oz (you can substitute half&half, whole milk, heavy whipping cream to suit)
- Whipped cream – enough to cover the cake
Directions
- Make one cake from box or scratch in 9x13 pan
- When done, use a fork to poke holes all over the cake
- Pour each type of milk over the cake or mix all milks together and pour
- Top with whipped cream
- Chill, allowing time for all milk to be absorbed
